majesty palm

McDonald, PA(Zone 6a)

my majesty palm is going very well, except a few branches have some brownish leaves on the top. Can I cut them back just enought to remove brown leave or should I cut the whole branch down to the bottom?

Thanks

You can cut off where the browning start's and leave the rest. Owning a Majesty palm can be challenge to keep looking healthy in our part of the world.

Wishing you all the best with your's!

Ravenea rivularis, the Majesty Palm, loves water. They don't like to be root-bound.

As Rachel said, don't cut off anything that isn't brown. Palms reabsorb nutrients from the older leaves before they drop them. Over-trimming a palm can cripple it's growth.
