This is the second year of gardening in Fernley, NV and the second year with no string beans! The plants grow well and are full of blooms but do not produce any beans. They are in raised beds filled with double mix blended soil.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Blue Lake Pole String Beans
How much nitrogen are they getting in your fertilizer or soil amendment. Too much Nitrogen will give you lush lovely plants, but few beans.
There is nothing in the soil except the double mix soil and bagged steer manure.
Perhaps it is a water issue with them.
