My mum has a Yucca Elephantipes. It's several years old, is a baby of a previous plant. It's about 6ft tall, with a good crown on it. It over wintered in the garden, in a pot, and survived very well. We have just noticed today that it has produced two small shoots out of the trunk about half way up. I was wondering if anyone here has any idea if we should remove these shoots and try to pot them up somehow, or leave them and let them grow where there are? Both are about 5cm in length and have several small but healthy looking leaves.
Any help appreciated

It becomes a tree, and is natural to form branches. Best to let them be.
Thanks for your reply. We will leave them well alone!
