Emma's 4 months!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Then we must be related! I have CRS disease on top of that!

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Mine has developed into full blown CRAFT.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

ROFLMAO!!! I cannot wait to meet you that's one thing I DO know!

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Oh, heck, there's an epidemic of that!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I think it's contagious.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Hey that's a good story, contagious/epidemic, we'll stick with that one OK??

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I want to see the real pictures like while she is all messy from eating those are the cutest!!
DP I like that thought for the day!!

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

One more before I log off.

Law of Probability -The probability of being watched
is directly proportional to the stupidity of the act you're engaged in.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I could not agree more with that one!
Marie, she's not on solids quite yet, she sees the Dr. for her 4 month checkup (a little behind) and I'm sure they'll start her on cereals. I send a picture of her right after she spits up all over herself, will that do?!??!?!!?

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

DP, you got to quit making me laugh so hard. I think I cracked a rib, ROFLOL. : - )
(It's okay, I see the chiropractor today and he'll put it back where it belongs).
First statement you made had me considering the subject. I resemble that remark! Ignorance of the facts makes anything possible. Decided it was genetic.
Second statement was concerning being watched, well, I can't argue with it, and boy do my ribs hurt. Certainly a truism. Keep 'em coming I love that stuff, even if my ribs don't. : - )
Weegy you'd have to be super grandma to already have photos to post. I didn't expect any til this evening, and I will force myself to wait. I know it will be worth it, and babies can't wait, they need attention now! : - ) BTW, what is CRS disease?
~Hugs~
WIB,
SW

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

LOL yes that will do Louise. I wonder what she is going to think about that cereal, pretty nasty tasting stuff in my opinion!!

SW you did not know she is super grandma? She has other pictures she could share just to keep me quiet ............... Then again maybe she enjoys me giving her a hard time :O)

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Yes I do Marie, love to give you a hard time. Well, I can't wait for the pictures of the faces when she first tastes cereal. And really, I am not so super, I have taken hardly any pictures, but dd has
SW, CRS is 'can't remember ****"...the other word for doo doo! Got it??!!!?!?

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Probably a bit of both Marie, baby time is precious. I wouldn't waste it talking to adults (now), I'd cuddle and coo, and like Randy said, probably make a fool of myself in front of a whole bunch of people.
I loved my kids when they were babies, but quite frankly, I was exhausted and most of my youngest son's infancy is a blur. Of course he was a preemie and I had to get up every two hours and medicate or feed the little guy.
Then I had his brother who was already starting to walk in his 6th month (very precocious child), and by the time his YB came along was sneaking out the window and wandering around the farm on his own. (They are only 9 months apart in age and my youngest was a month early.)
Then I was really happy to see an adult. I can only imagine what pioneer moms went through. DH was gone all week working, and I was all alone except for the two kids. The county was worried I couldn't handle it, so they sent me an angel. She was a nurse who was working for the county tracking YS's development.
I actually asked her if it was okay to put locks on the windows to keep the ES in the house instead of wandering all over. She said under the circumstances it was a reasonable precaution. I sure didn't get much rest. No wonder I still wander around myself sleep deprived.
Now my sons are in their teens and the eldest just turned 20. When they go out to see friends, and are late, unless they call, I worry. Thank goodness my youngest calls. My eldest doesn't come out of his cave much so I don't worry about him wandering the farm after dark anymore. I do worry because he isolates himself. Hopefully, it's just a stage he is going through.
Kids, Ya got to love 'em!
Sending a photo of what kids can do for/to you! Here's my preemie, and he's got my bananas! LOL!

How cute is your son!! The bananas are awesome. I am surprised that they allowed you to put locks on the windows...wow times have changed.
Yup, I've learned this time around to enjoy the baby years, as I know how fast they grow up now...wish I wouldn't have been in such a hurry with my 5. Now they're all gone and my nest is empty. Live and learn.
Randy should start a daily thread called "thoughts for the day." Come on Randy, whatcha say?!!?!?

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

Yup, I certainly have CRS disease too! Quit making me laugh!
Here's my ES. He died his pretty red hair black. He reminds me of pigpen from the Charlie Brown comics. Notice he has surrounded himself with trash, empty food bags, empty drink containers. I really want to stuff him into a barrel but DH won't let me. : - (
Then again he does make me laugh. He is good with the critters, and when his hair grows back out, it looks really cool being part red and part black. (It was my idea, he did it the first time at boarding school, but this time his GF helped him, he even dyed his eyebrows!)
I keep telling them, that one of them is a spare. I just haven't decided which one yet. LOL! : - )

OOH, I second the motion! DP, ya got to do it! Puleeze! I can't think of a better way to start the day. LOL?!

Things have changed a lot, now a days you'd get thrown in jail for child abuse. You have to remember back then, I was really isolated. My nearest neighbor, was a long way away. Good thing is, I learned tracking from my son. I had to follow his little footprints, and I was able to tell where he went and what he did. Stinker!
Try tracking while carrying an infant kangaroo style. It ain't easy. More than once I really wanted to stuff that kid in a barrel and feed him through the bung hole.
My boys are good guys for the most part. Except the ES's slothfulness, and choice of solitude. I am very grateful that my boys don't smoke, don't drink (well at least not around me!), and haven't gotten their GF's pregnant, nor have they dropped out of school, or committed any crimes. Maybe I did do some things right.
Enjoy your Grandma time, I don't think I could have coped with Five kids, and Me Hat's off to you, weegy.

I just try to remember that you're never given more than you can handle. You just learn to cope and the older ones start taking care of the younger ones, hopefully.
Your boys sound like very nice guys. Hope I can meet them soon.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

I was thinking the same thing, but wanted to try it out here first. I'll start it with the second one from here today. Maybe I'll work the other one in a couple of days from now.

what a little doll!!!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

She is a doll!!! SW I have 5 kids too. Mine rangein age from 5 to 23 I think I will like being a grandma, I think it is great to spoil them and give them back.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Grandbabies are the greatest. My oldest just started first grade last week. She's our first of course so she's the one we spoiled first!!! The youngest, a boy, is getting the spoiling routine from DW right now. (I'd rather she were spoiling me to be truthful) I don't much like this living in separate states thing. We'll find her a good job here sooner or later though, I'm sure.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

DP I did not know your wife was out of state, where is your wife at?

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Oh my goodness, that first opening picture is priceless!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Thank you calif sue!
Ok, here's some pictures from today, some are not so great, a little blurry.

LOL, I just love the boo boo lip!!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I felt so bad taking a picture of her knowing she was about ready to cry but it was just too sweet.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I love those pictures!!!! She is so sweet!!

Menifee, CA(Zone 9a)

weegy,
I don't think there is a bad photo of that precious bundle of joy! She is way too cute, boo boo lip, and chin quiver and all. Mom is looking great too! Thanks for sharing with us. : - )
DP, you bad boy! Look at what you started!
When walking out of the Drug store I saw a guy wearing a t-shirt, and asked him if I could read what it said, he graciously allowed me to read like 20 different statements. Silly things, but funny. I really surprised him when I told him that some were true, and pointed out the ones that were wrong. Like a dentist really did not invent the first electric chair, but it's believable. LOL! He was so surprised by how quickly I read his shirt. We both had to share a laugh. I was wearing a t-shirt with a statement too. Mine read, "It's an Indian thing, you probably wouldn't get it anyway!"
At the grocery store I commented on a man who was whistling while he shopped. Mentioned how much I liked hearing him whistle, so we ended up chatting and it turns out we have a friend in common. Left him with my "you know you are in Texas when story", which spread around some more laughter. Good going Randy, laughter is contagious!
When you see Emma next give her a cuddle from me, weegy. I'm willing to wait for the grandkids.
Marie, Me hat's off to you too!
I might have been able to cope with more kids, would have loved having more, but the body wasn't good at being pregnant. Sigh. I have my summer kids and winter kids to take up the slack. Then there is my fur kids. (Sending photo of one!)
Randy, before I forget, what does your DW do professionally?
You all have a good night!

Oh Boy, what a cutie. You're gonna have to keep a leash on her during the RU with all these baby lovers on here. She might get mistaken for a Daisy or something. LOL.

Marie, my DW, Lisa is about a hundred miles north of you in Cottonwood. She got her old job back at a private high school when her job here was cut back to 15 hours a week. We really couldn't afford to live on that and my wages alone. She works in the nursing station, bandaging boo boos and dispensing meds. She's not a nurse, just a nurturer. And SW, as to what is her profession......well it's whatever she can get a job doing...LOL. Seriously, she's worked in healthcare for quite a long time, but in the administrative end of it so she's more office oriented. She also worked in finance for quite a while.

Hoping it works out that I can come to the RU this year and with any luck, it'll be on a weekend she can get away and come with me.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I was wondering if she was in Cottonwood. That place ahs grown so much in the past few years. I used to go up there yearly for soccer tournaments when my two oldest where little guys.
SW I stink at being pregnant too. I really had no plans for that many kids and especially that kind of age ranges.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

I only have the one son of my own. Couldn't manage to keep anyone around my ornery butt long enough to have more. LOL. I'll just have to make up for it with grands and great-grands, huh?

Marie, I was the Vice Mayor of Cottonwood for 8 years from '99 to '07. That was my 'home town' for 25 years.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

So what do you think of Cottonwood now? I always wanted to live in the Verde Valley.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Cottonwood's a nice little town. It's certainly a lot busier than when I moved there. It had only one traffic light when I first got there. You have to go through six to get to that one now. The street system hasn't kept up with the growth so traffic is horrible at rush hour, sometimes a three light wait to get through the main intersections, and they are on state highways so the city has no jurisdiction over it. Not a good thing.

I'll go back to visit certainly, but I doubt I'll ever live there again.

Verde Valley in general is a really nice place. The river going through the middle of it certainly helps to keep things green.
