Black spots on distictis leaves

Hi All,
I've had black spots on my distictis leaves for quite a while. We used Bayer the other day and the spots seem to be getting darker so I don't know if that's made it worse or better. Does anyone know what the black spots could be?

Here's the black spots. So sad. I think they've become darker and that's why I was wondering if the Bayer spray helped. There is definitely new growth on the vine however.
