They're growing in a "square foot" box and there are beans on them, they're just not very deep green. The leaves were a deeper green when they first sprouted. Is this normal? The soil is "Mel's Mix" which is approximately 1/3 compost, 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 vermiculite.
What do my green beans need?
beans seem to be pretty reliable. the one's I grow - mostly bush beans - are lighter in color than the foliage. it looks like you still have plenty of blossoms so more will come. I have never used the mixes and just add compost. i am pretty sure you have good soil as the plant looks healthy and is producing blossoms and beans.
