Hello ~ I dug up a rose vine growing in my mothers yard that she didn't want. She said it never bloomed and only put out one long stem. So, I took it from MO to Iowa last fall, I trimmed it back and it threw out 3 more stems. It survived the winter but I had to trim it down some. Well... it's growing great but it still won't bloom. How many years will it take to bloom? I still don't know what it is.
Please help!!!
Rose Vine, when will it bloom?
Hi Donna, have you used any rose food or fertilizer on it? is it getting full sun? If you are a paid member here you can try posting this on the rose forum. some really knowledgable folks post there.
I did fertilize it in spring. It has lots of new stems and even side stems but no blooms. I don't know what to think!
It's probably trying just to establish it's root system. I usually give something 3 seasons.
