I have just planted a hydrangea tree. We have clay soil so I amended w/ compost and sand. The tree leaves are drooping and the edges of the leaves are turning brown. Am I overwatering or underwatering? Or is the plant in shock or very ill and not making it?
new hydrangea tree
What conditions is it planted in? hydrangeas don't like too much sun which could cause the browning. This is a really tough time to plant anything, the heat, dry soil, etc. Hydrangeas are typically plants requiring lots of TLC and we call it "having fainting spells" here in the South because they require a lot of water in the afternoons especially.
