I went out to water this morning and noticed that one of my cantaloupes was missing. I later found it in another part of my garden- 3/4 of it had been eaten. This was one of the smaller melons- maybe 4 inches in diameter. The neighborhood does have ground squirrels, but they stay clear of our yard because of our 2 cats. So the question is, could one of my cats have eaten it? Has anyone heard of a cat doing something like this? Any other ideas?

Maybe it was a raccoon - I don't think they are afraid of anything!
