If you are tired of your cheap watering can leaking at the spout, or if you're tired of lugging around a can which contents fall out before you get to the plant that needs watering, this might be something for you. Coop hostess SusieR has negotiated wholesale prices of a wide selection of items. There are excellent and reasonably priced gift ideas for the gardeners in your life.

Me too, just don't want to pay postage if I don't have to. Maybe I'll ask the local hardware store where LF is sold if they can order it.

Good morning!
joeswife, it's Jethropa(bad spell)
Rj, cool palm trees. My brother in law made one.
I need to go get some coffeeee.

Good morning. Love that Jatropha, and they are so easy to propagate.

noonamah, Australia

Jatropha grows very readily indeed. It's a declared weed here. Coincidentally, I've been out removing Jatropha gossypiifolia over the past three days. Once established it's difficult to get rid of and the seeds stay viable in the ground for a long time. Jatropha curcas is also a declared weed but I understand there are some other species which people here have in their gardens and that haven't gone rampant.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

I didn't know Jathropha were easy to propagate. I don't think I ever got a cutting to root and finally bought one when I was in Tampa last year. You can't buy them here in the nursery.

I think it's going to rain today. My Plumeria is blooming!

This is a compass plant, they are native to my state and not tropical, they are fun to watch as their tops follow the sun.. it is facing west here at 12am in the morning, I utilize the native plants for shade giving for my tropicals, this one is above the hibiscus collection,, the tall thing in the oicture to the left is called showy evening primrose yellow, blooms at night, smells woonderful, and this one will have about 6000 seeds on it by october.. in the pods after a bloom, so I have been cutting them back.. they also give good shade with their wide leaves, and the japense morning glory loves to climb it.

This is the back side of my little water well tub, the grass is in a pot in the outer pocket, I get seeds from the grasses and spread them into the lawn.. Fescue gets real tall in the natural.. the tropical plant sits in the water tub part with a bubbler..

Hi Rj!!! I am really enjoying your blog!!! Does that White Bauhinia have a smell? I have one in a pot that is roughly 5 years old and of course the watched pot will not bloom.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Hi! I'm pleased your enjoying the blog..! It's fun writing about something your passionate about.
Ya know...mine was in a pot too for the past year and half. I decided to put it in the ground if I had any hopes for blooming, and sure enough it didn't take long at all. I was surprised when I noticed blooms on it.

This is my pink jatropha (thanks Gail). PF says it is integerrima but the leaves are different. I am wondering if the pink flowered ones are a different CV.

I can't seem to get a decent picture of this one. It is Ruttya fruticosa or Jammy Mouth. Thanks again to wonderful Gail! I had to cut a piece and lay it on the deck to get a clear pic.
