we've been home since about 4:30 also. I've been out in the green house thinking it was Christmas. I am ashamed of myself for bringing home so many lovelies.. HA... don't believe a word I say...LOL .. I am thrilled with all the plants I received, and utterly proud to call all of you friend!!

Soon as Josephine starts a thread for pics, I have some to add... but couldn't resist this one of one of our cuties..LOL

Ugh! Green hands! LOL!
We got back earlier and I got busy potting up everything that needed it and watering those that needed moisture. I ended up taking home too much, but I love each of you for your sharing! I haven't looked at all of the pictures, Herman is our editor. I will load some when Josephine gets it going also.
It was a nice group that showed up but we were missing a few. Hope everyone got plants or other things they liked and will enjoy for years to come. The food was great, thanks everyone that contributed. We enjoyed the door prize drawing as well.
Don't think we will have any trouble sleeping tonight!

We had such a wonderful visit making new friends and we brought so many nice, beautiful, healthy plants home with us. It was a scenic drive there and the park was beautiful. Next year, I am bringing my camera. Thanks everyone for making us feel so welcome and sharing your love of gardening.

Thanks to all for making my daughter, SIL and the GRANDS feel so welcome. This also showed them that I am not the only plant nut out there. Great to meet new friends and see all of the others. Love's Lookout was awsome to see the things we gave them at the first RU being used for all to enjoy. This was voted the most beautiful rest stop in Texas.
Thanks to those that brought plants for the MG Demo Garden. We must show it off when we gather next time. The dedication was Monday and went very well.
I was good this time and did not take a PU load home. Don't expect that next time around.
Keep in touch.
Happy Gardening !
DD
Kathleen, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

I never claimed to have any sense, Becky!

Glad to hear the dedication went well, David! did the Gov show up?

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

I wish I would have been able to be there and see everyone and get to met Dude's family but maybe they will come another time.

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

haha.. Lee... guess that's why I like you.. I don't have any either.. btw.. TY for the compliment... I guess..lol

Phyllis..HA!!! You'll always be the boss... always!! So there!! I "nicknamed" you the boss.. what was it ... the 1st RU?? All I can say, is we pulled it off... not as good as you, but we survived the day! Putting my order in for honey wheat bread a "lil" early..lol.. soooo you better bring it to the spring RU!!!

sorry I missed it about your dedication... How'd it turn out? I know you're pooped about now, with all the running you've been doing lately!!

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

The dedication went well. The Senator and his mother were very pleased. The Arboretum is named for his 94 year old mother. The Gov. did not show but Ag. Commish and several other Texas A&M and Texas Forest Service folks were there with the local yuckyity yucks. The Gov did do a proclimation. The long rainy season has slowed us cosiderablly with washouts and poor drainage areas. Guess it is good to locate these areas prior to permanant planting. I am glad that this is over and we can now proceed at a slower pace. Thanks to all for the plants for us to use in the garden.
Students from area schools made stepping stones and folks really liked involving the kids.
I think Mibus will always be Boss. Beck will be Vice-Boss or Boss of vice.
Good time had by all.
D
