Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

I have a lot going on right now with the RU 10/17, our plant sale 9/25 and the dedication of our Arboretum and Demo Garden 10/19 all occurring in Sept./Oct. I have lots of things potted up for the Master Gardeners sale and to plant in the demo garden. I will try to post a list soon if I can wrap my mind around it and seperate things into the categories. Several of you will be at more than one of these events. If you will request things you really want I will try to save them for you. I am sure I will bring purple cone flowers, May pop passion flower, Lady in Red salvia, lion's tail and Korean foxglove. Other things as requested.
If you would like to contribute plants to our demo garden it would be much appreciated. We have a large area( about 100' X 50' ) divided into Theme gardens with members responsible for sections. Some of the Themes are Sub-tropicals (mine), natives, perennials, butterfly, cacti/succulents, bulbs, earth-kind or OGR roses and unique or specimen plants. We will also have veggies and herbs which will be given to our local Soup Kitchen to serve the needy of our community. Nice sized, well rooted plants labeled with correct names will work best. We do not want invasive plants as our plot of land is in the arorbetum given to us by the Texas Forest Service. Other items like a pond liner or nice bird bath would also be helpful. If you would like to assist us with this project please d mail me as it will help me to keep things seperated. We may even want to go to this garden after the RU if you would like to see it. Thanks to those that have already contacted me with gifts for the project.
DD, the confused dude

When is the Master Gardener sale? It had slipped my mind.

Jacksonville, TX(Zone 8a)

The MG plant sale is Saturday Sept. 26.

Tyler, TX

Thanks, I had completely forgotten about it. Isn't it nice having all this rain?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Dennis, may I have two of the foxglove trees? I can bring you some common yellow daffodil bulbs and a may night salvia and a nice large sweet autumn clematis (if it is not too invasive for your needs) for your demo gardens if that will work. I have lots of tomato plants for the fall if you want some of them (I remember you said you didn't have a lot of success with them, but maybe someone else would like to grow them for the soup kitchen).

My batface cupea from your place is really beautiful. I am afraid I lost most of my coleus plants due to the heat and drought.

Charlene

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

David, please forgive the mistake on your name. I thought David, my fingers just typed Dennis, go figure!

Charlene

(Phyllis) Flint,, TX(Zone 7b)

hehehe hey char it's that CRS syndrome LOL it hits whenever it likes on all of us

Flint, TX

Where will the Master Gardener sale be? I might be able to offer some things for the perrenial garden. I'll look through the list of the different types.
M~

Flint, TX

Oh I forgot.
Kenboy I have gorgous hosta and can bring you some. I have about 75 varieties and most do great in my yard. I also will have a few named day lillies (hoping i can find the diagram for my yard or the tags) and would love to trade for something fragrant. My gingers I got from you last year are doing great. Several of my brugs didn't make it but that was the month of Ike which caused huge damage here and nearly destroyed my yard so I was happy to have anything live.
I'll see which hosta I can dig up.
Mindy

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

mindybsgarden, yes I would love any Hosta and especially named ones. I will take as many as I can get, we are adding on to the garden this year and Hostas fill in the low ares so well. I would also like named Daylilys if you can find your list. I have several named Gingers I can bring as well as Brugs. Thanks

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I hate to say this but I don't think I will make it to this RU Going to hate not seeing everyone.
That is the best part.

I removed my trade lists.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry you can't make it Sandy, it is quite a drive for you though. Maybe you can make it next year.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Thanks Sheila, I hope so also.

Flint, TX

Ken, that sounds wonderful and I'll find you some good things.
Can't wait to see everyone!
Mindy

Flint, TX

I just saw 2 things I'd like to have if there's something I can trade for:
WillisTx I'd like a Turks cap and posibly Duranta if you still have them
AND.. Ken I'd LOVE some phlox if you still have some for me.
Now I better get to work or I'll keep finding things I want. LOL
M~
