this weed is unbearable it has killed my bushes no matter what I use and they tell me there isn't much - hand picking is the answer - everytime I go outside I am pulling them out but they seem to double the next day - is there any answer to getting rid of them - they have inundated my bushes - please help - this is a fantastic web page - I have put it in my favorites and will recommend it to my friends so clear and helpful thank you.
Paederia foetida skunk vine
the only thing i know with out destroying the other plants is take a paint brush scratch vine near roots and paint on round up so it soaks into the vine s roots
bleach may work too if no other plants around but if there are or kids would be careful with this method or any other though
the vine has underground things roots what ever they are and is just as bad as kudzu. like the flowers but thats it.
If you can follow the thing to the ground, find the roots and dig them out, you might have a chance of getting rid of it. Don't ever let the plant produce seeds / fruit.
It's one of the worst weeds in Hawai'i. The plant fixes nitrogen.
the bleach will kill the bushes unless you transplant them.
