Mekos my sister calls those unexpected plants blessings from God. She's always finding plants coming up from seed she sowed year or more before that didn't come up at all at the time she planted them. This year her surprise was 2 sunflower seeds which she didn't even plant at all at any time. I told her the birds planted them so they could have a treat at her house LOL. She has birds come back to her place every year.
And I would love to try your little babies. I'll be honest and tell you I'll try anything you want to send me LOL but I better not cause my craft/greenhouse building won't be finished until sometime in October if I'm lucky. And I wouldn't have the room to keep everything though I'm thinking up ways to get around that little problem.

I don't take them in for the winter. I'm in zone 7, but they come back every year but 2-3 years ago we had a bad winter and the purple/white didn't come back, I find little things out there also that I don't plant that I'm sure the birds left for me, but these are where the original would have been that hasn't been there for 2 years. Don't think birds did that, GOD maybe, but not birds. Too much of coincidence for birds to drop what originally was there 2 years before. I tend to think dormant seeds, maybe got buried too deep and since I've been working out there some dirt washed off and seeds were exposed.

are you sure you actually have a triple purple/white brug and not a datura? I was pretty sure brugs come in all colors BUT purple... and datura in all colors BUT pinks and reds...
however, if you do have a yellow brug seedling.. and it needs a good Southern home.. id be happy to adopt it from you.. it can join my pinks and the currently planted red/yellow seed as its new friends :)
Well, I call ALL them angel trumpets- but tecnically The tripple purple/white swirl is datura metal. ROTFL I think I'll get me a mojito.

whoops.... the seeds needs to be BRUGMANSIA... not DATURA.. two different plants there.
well, if its Datura that everyone is getting, im gonna pass on the contest...lol. I am really looking for the brug seed.. cuz thats whats gonna be the centerpeice for the memory garden :)
or.. if everyone is ok with growing the datura (better chance of a bloom in two months than a brug) then i can maybe pay for a few of your brug seed?

HI you all. I'm going to hide those drinks from you all seems to me you get into too much confusion when you drink those mojitos and margaritas. I'm waiting for it to cool off so I can plant some flowers. Neighbor lady gave me a start of summer posinettia and her hubby gave me a bucketful of cactus the ones that will grow on rocks in spite of being told one was plenty. They have the prettiest bloom but I don't want to plant that many of them.
IT SAID BRUGMANSIA ANGEL TRUMPETS WHITE DOUBLE. If any one don't want them it is ok. I can use the seeds any way. BIG white trumpets hang DOWN, smell very fragrant. If anyone wants to order the others go ahead, I'll just add these to my stash.

OH SHOOT! I went back and looked at the invoice and it says double white datura. SHOOT. I thought it was brugmansia. ROTFL!!!!!! and a few other words. Seray, just go ahead and order those and I'll keep these seeds. I'm sorry you guys. To me they all look like brugs.

Hey blondie. ROTFL , I'm still having another mojito anyway. BRUG., Angel trumpet, devil trumpet, what is the difference? Aside from single, double, tripple and color, what is the difference? They all look the same to me.

I got all confused on this. I went to the site where I got my red/yellow brugmansia and kept looking until I found the picture of double white and clicked to order. Never looked at the title of datura or brug stuff. MAN!

Oh look the group is growing yeay....
brugmansia is more tree like and the blooms face downward. datura is more plant/shrub like and the blooms face upward. Brugmansia come in all colors but purple and blue, and datura come in all colors but red and pink. brugmansia is called 'Angel trumpets' and Datura is called 'Devil's trumpet'

I have one brug no V or Y I guess pink Flower says...it isprobably 8 or 10 inches tall
They still look like the same to me. The double white things I ordered have blooms drooping down. But it said datura when I went back to see and it is a huge bushy thing.
