WooHoo! Hubby is home and says yes to camping out Saturday. :D I promised him there would be people there who wouldn't try to talk to him about flowers. LOL!

I just edited the initial post to include the RSVP's I have gotten so far. If I have missed you or mis-interpreted when and where you will be joining us let me know. Lynn, let me know if you have gotten personal RSVP's that I have missed as well.

Other than starting to get kind of freaked out that it is creeping up so quickly, we are really looking forward to it!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Thank you Julie for updating the lists. I have invited 3 guests for Saturday events. Please add Heidi Weidman to the Mt. Tahoma tour and Saturday eve events. I will let you know about the other two.
Please add on items to bring: swimsuit if they are planning to use hot tub . I have plenty of towels.

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Done Lynn! :)

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

Have been incognito for a coupla weeks, hope you understand! But I will arrive around noon on Friday, hoping to get as much schmoozing as possible in before leaving around 3 p.m. on Saturday -- my "you're dead to me once you leave town" sweetie already misses me so much that he "surprise!" is arriving at PDX that evening. I hate to miss the Saturday evening events and Soferdig, since he is a fellow Montanan, but then again, can't wait to see the b'friend! Old friends vs. new friends, what to do ...

I will have my dog with me & a spacious truck for lodging. Off now to look at the "want" list and see whether we have any matches here at the new homestead ... pretty sure this place has one of everything but tough for this "severe winter" gardener to distinguish between the weeds and the desirables since our definition pretty much is anything that grows well must be a weed and here EVERYTHING grows like wildfire!!!

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Summerkid, Glad you will be able to join us on Friday! Totally understand the need to be home on Saturday PM.... we will be taking pics of all the fun you will be missing....but there's always next year! After you have convinced BF that he needs to move this direction, you can drag him along with you! I have added you to the fri pm list....vegi chilli and bread good with you?

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

Oh yes! And please don't anyone feel a need to cater to me. I'm not one of those vegetarians who likes to make her food preferences the center of all attention. And if push comes to shove, I will eat meat rather than be rude to a hostess who is sharing her hospitality.

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Aw, Summer.. I wish you could stay for Saturday night. I wanted to see you hit on my hubby and get him all flustered. LOL! Glad you're gonna get to see your Sweety though. :)

Don't let me forget to throw you in the pond at Pixy's place... ;p

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

LOL

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Bring him along. You can have the "honeymoon" suite (motorhome). Just don't make too much noise cuz all of us old ladies will be jealous!!!

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Aw gee I wanted to meet you too Summer. I remember long distance dating and the moments of meeting after a long absence. Don't show up cause everybody will be jealous. LOL Have fun what ever you decide.

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

OK everybody, I just d-mailed the addresses to everyone (I think) that has RSVP'd. If I missed you, I sincerely apologize...let me know! My head is about to explode with all that I still want/need to get done before next weekend, so my normal "well organized" self is slipping!

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

If there is anything I can to help from my remote location, let me know!!

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Gwendalou, what a sweet offer! Most of the stress is self induced at this point...we would love everything to be perfect and reality says that it won't. It is going to be a great time, no matter what! Just send positive thoughts!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

It'll be fine. Remember, we can all pitch in when we get there. Nothing has to be perfect. It's about the getting together . . .

Eugene, OR

Don't forget to post pictures and stories for those of us who can't make it. I know you'll all have fun.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I want everyone to have a great time, and with enough wine, no one will even notice the weeds. So, let the wine flow! That is so funny, because, as Rarejem and PNWmountaingirl know, 2 or 3 glasses is past my limit! At least I don't have far to stumble into my bed.
You guys don't have to weed my garden. You are here to relax and have fun. Of course, if you are looking at a weed, it won't hurt my feelings to reach down and pull it out. Or pop off a spent bloom LOL- But NO WORK!!!! I have a lot of seedheads that I haven't harvested yet, so feel free to take all you want. I have baggies and marking pens to put them in.

I have a bag of coconut coir, perlite, seed starting mix, MG mix ,plant markers, and lots of pots and containers so you can stick your cuttings while you are here, if you want to.

Would it be possible to post how many in your party is coming? 10 signed up could be 30 if everyone brought a DH and a friend or family member. I don't care, the more, the merrier, just want to have enough food for everyone.

Rachierabbit, are you bringing your dad? Joey really wanted to meet him and discuss barn building with him.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Just me in my party . . .

(Linda)Gig Harbor, WA(Zone 8a)

Rarejem--Just remember a garden without weeds is like a day without sunshine. (or so it goes) When I look at a garden, it is not the weeds I see. ( And I'm sure that is true with most of us)

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Well, I have a whole year's worth of sunshine!!!

(Judi)Portland, OR

Yes please post photos for those of us who cannot attend. It sounds like so much fun!

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Thats also includes are homes, My DH says if you come to visit me then visit me, If you come to visit my home Well Enjoy yourself we will be outside. And sorry it did'nt clean up for you. LOL

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

Just me and myself.

Gwen

(Judi)Portland, OR

Tills that is a great quote from your DH. Brilliant.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Great quote!
I am posting this on all threads: Heidi at Dragonfly Nursery would love to see us on Sunday, and she said Heronswood is OPEN!!!!
Who would like to go there after breakfast at Rarejem's and PNWMountaingirls's?

Eugene, OR

Tills.....your DH sounds like my kind of people!!! LOL

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

He is down to earth, and says it as he sees it. LOL

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

Oh, I'm so sad to be missing the fancy stuff. No idea what Heronswood is, but I WANT TO SEE IT.

May I issue a special plea for any & all spare veggies you guys may have? Honestly, I will take anything. My body knows that this is the time of year to be rolling in tomatoes, habaneros, cukes, onions, garlic, apples, cabbage ... and I got nuthin. Tough to make bluekat76's Roasty Sauce out of lavender, roses & phlox.

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

What's Roasty Sauce???? I think we need the recipe for that one!

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

I wrote an article about it for my local paper but can see that they now charge for the privilege of perusing my past prose. Here is the thread for it from Kim (bluekat):

Rose Lodge, OR(Zone 8b)

This is unbelievably good sauce. I use quartered tomatoes, seeds skins & all, and we eat it chunky style.

It is one of those recipes that you have to share judiciously to limit the number of puppy-eyed people showing up on yer doorstep, holding out an empty Tupperware container.

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

I'm going to make this. Now, does anyone have a recipe for diced tomatoes or tomato paste? I use a lot of diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste throughout the year and would love to use my own homegrown tomatoes!
