Last year I thought this vine had died....this year she's growing up and has attached herself to the trellis in several places...
New to this...what now? Can I bend it back down and around...or just let this second year growth go where it wants for now?
Clematis growing up...now what?
You can do either one. Being that it's a vine, it's natural tendency is for it to want to grow UP. It will find it's way around and through the trellis and untimately on to the rose you have next to it.
You can just let it "do it's thing" or try directing it to where you want it.
It won't hurt the rose, and the two look good when growing into each other.
Thanks Jasper!
