I want some 4 o'clocks too please. The photos are so amazing I just love checking them out every day. I'll have to wander my yard (maybe the neighbors too) and see what I can get pictures of.
Luvs that aster is beautiful!

I'll post a separate thread when the 4:00s seeds are ready in a few weeks.

The hibiscus is real pretty...I just bought a plum one on sale, not quite sure if I like the color though!! LOL I'll get a picture tomorrow nothing but wet blooms most of the day.

My dahlias are just beginning to pop...Here is 'Mom's Special'

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

Gita, the colors of your 4 O'Clocks are beautiful and Ronnie, nice red on yours and I love the Dahlia! Catbird, nice pink Hibiscus! Odd, I had one similar to yours but this year it's blooming white with a red center???

Well I finally grabbed the camera - a little late for some blooms but caught Rudbeckia Henry Eilers just opening. One of my Kopper Kings is blooming in the background. I hadn't seen many Japanese Beetles this year but guess they found this one :(

HE is neat RCN

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

A month ago I was weeding in this area and saw a bunch of seedlings, I thought they might be Celosia that I had blooming there last year. I left them and sure enough, they sent up their spikes and should be in full bloom soon!

Right next to the Celosia, I've got this Ruellia, I forget which one, that pops up everywhere along this border. Some years I yank it but this year it's really filled in and looks nice with Sedum Blackjack!

Yeah, Henry is cool, I just wish he wasn't so tall! Either he needs to be moved where he gets more sun or I'll have to stake him.

LOVE this one - Alstroemeria! I can't remember which one it is, it's one of the newer hybrids that we picked up from the breeder at the NARGS meeting in January. It's still in the pot waiting to be planted in the new border when the soil finally dries out!

This shrub is cool! Chinese Buttonbush - Adina rubella http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/95424/ I almost missed the flowers but they're still neat even though they're lost their light pink color.

Dwarf Crepe Myrtle, I don't know its name, it was someone's reject and I'm not even sure if it had a tag! Even when it's not blooming the red tips of the foliage is pretty. I just pruned it up last month so you could see the twisty trunk and I need to find something to plant underneath it.

Phlox 'Nora Leigh' is looking better this year. Last fall when I was working in this garden the poor roots were jumping out of the soil! I added some soil and tamped them down and I think she's happier this year :)

This little Daphne, Eternal Fragrance, has been blooming since May! It's fragrant but maybe once it gets some size to it I won't have to bend over to smell it!

Helianthus 'Lemon Queen' - this one needs LOTS of space. I transplanted this one last fall and it's almost 5' tall and 4' wide! Darned bee, I waited and waited for him to stop long enough on a bloom and he just wouldn't cooperate! LOL

Cardinal Flower is almost a weed in the gardens, it pops up everywhere!

Love it when the berries are starting to show color on the Variegated Viburnum but by then the foliage starts looking pretty crappy :(

I saved the best one for last :) I saw these advertised in the Van Bourgondien catalog - wasn't planning on buying any Lilies this year, rarely order from VB and I wasn't even sure I'd like the color. How could I resist with this name? Even Rick is impressed with Lilium 'Debbie'! LOL

Gita, I'll be glad to save you seeds from that hibiscus. I don't know if they'll be true but it won't hurt to try. I love the dark foliage on KK and Fireball.

Here's a few new photos. A really pretty dahlia called AC Garfield. The flowers are big, about 7 inches across.

This one is Mystic Moonlight. It's huge - the flower is about 10 inches across and isn't fully bloomed out yet.

I don't remember what coreopsis this is. The pink stuff is Jupiter's beard.

LOVE that Texas Red Star hibiscus

Shenandoah Valley, VA

I had to have that after seeing a photo someone posted here on DG of one they had grown. Isn't it glorious? There's a white one too. Believe it or not it's growing in my water garden. I need to figure out how to stake it, though. It gets so heavy with the blooms it tips over.

I'll save you some seeds, Jen. BTW, the leaves look just like marijuana plants. LOL

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thanks..... hope I don't get in trouble people thinking I'm growing pot. lol
