Good recipes, Jen---I don't cook enough with plums. When we lived in Fl during the winter, our TV station came out of Orlando---very weird news, & tons of crime.
Coffee Break # 16 - (Drowned) Dog Days
He wanted to get into her costume.
I think he just wanted to know if it was anatomically correct.
On a serious and sad note, a Disney performer fell while taking part in a Pirates of the Caribbean act. He later died.
OH!
I hate when reality interrupts Disney World
Wow - every teen would be arrested here!

Hey Jan, let me know I'm up for another Longwood trip.
When it gets cooler, Jen. That sounds great!
Oh yeah, I def wouldn't go in this heat. Yuck.
Check this out, it's really cool (for want of a better word)
Its called Rain....no instruments. Try listening only before you watch it.

Oh, that IS neat, although I've seen it already this summer because I am one of the cognoscenti. They look like they ought to be a choir, I mean, is that their only act? I'll have to check that out.
Re: intelligence of various breeds of dogs - where is the list? I'm just wondering where pit pulls and terrier-type biting / hunting dogs fall. My DD#1 has been bitten twice in her young life, once by an English terrier (??) I don't really remember, it was a long time ago, but the second time WAS a pit bull. I guess they're OK if you train them but this one was neglected.
Guess you have to buy the book, Carrie. I only know the first few because they were in the newspaper, but I also read an article that mentioned dales were 29th---I was surprised they're so high---but again, it depends on the individual dog as well.
NOT buying no book - DD#2 is severely allergic to dogs, no chance of our ever owning one, and it's not THAT interesting otherwise. Oh, I'm not on the objectionable grammar thread, am I?
Here, Carrie

I need to vent. It has nothing to do with DG or gardening.
Some of you know I run a small photo web site. It's a nice friendly place for photographers of all abilities. I had to ban a popular member today. Someone who didn't understand proper web edicuit and didn't listen to repeated warnings.
A dispute spilled over from another site and got blown out of proportion onto my site. Why? I had nothing to do with it.
I hate to ban anyone but this was too much. Most of my on-line time for 2 days has been devoted to this issue.
There, I feel better now. thanks
Andy P
keep me posted on when you decide to go for the longwood trip... I might tag along
Hummm..Repeated warnings? Then, see ya, wouldnt want to be ya.
Don't let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya.lol
Thanks for sharing Andy. Sometimes it just helps to talk it away. Sorry you had to deal with that.
That's a bummer, Andy. Sounds like you had no choice. Need rules or anarchy takes over. That's too bad.
Wow - how cool is this?! Anyone have a month free?

WoW! I've been wanting to go to Barbados for some time now. My grandmother is from there. This might be the incentive I need.
A trip to Barbados sounds real nice right now. I could visit some good neighbors who moved there recently, get away from all this foolishness.
Andy, after repeated warnings I don't blame you a bit.
That deal sounds too good to be true.
We'll def have to plan something Allison.
Sorry you had to deal with that, Andy.
Barbados is lovely - at least it was in '73 on our honeymoon.
I'm trying to see if I can go to Wellsweep the 22nd. Longwood sounds great!
Jan--Do tell about your trip to Barbados. Whats it like?
Welll.... Now remember my trip was in 1973, so I'm sure lots of things have changed. The Caribbean Sea side: water is calmer - not as many waves. We rented a 'jeep-like' vehicle to explore the island. On top of the mountain there were some ruins of a plantation house that was used as a movie set. Nearby there was a church with a cemetery, that we wandered through, with a wonderful view of the ocean. We did go to the Atlantic side and pretty much had the beach to ourselves except when school let out and a bunch of school kids came by in their uniforms and had their pics taken with us. There were some neat cavey places to explore, but not at high tide - LOL. The place we stayed in was very nice. A little ways from the main town, so it was quieter. No screeens, so little anoles crawled all over. No mosquitoes either, if I remember correctly. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package, so we didn't really leave - after all we WERE on our honeymoon. :) :) :) First time I ever had flying fish. It was delicious! We did some shopping and I got hot pads and baskets made from some kind of leaves, which I am still using.
Thanks Jan
Calm blue water, no mosquitoes and plenty of fish..sounds like paradise to me.
Hope we helped, Andy---some people are boors. Barbados does sound nice, especially in Feb. However, I'm a wreck when I fly---doesn't seem worth it to me anymore.
Yes, Barbados sounds great! Love the no-bugs part.
Jen, thanks for that dog site! Pit bulls weren't on there (too dumb) but all the dogs with "bull" in the name were below 50 and bull dog was next to last (second only to Afghan hounds).
Most of the Caribbean, in my experience, is too breezy for bugs. Now DD#2 got eaten alive on St. Croix, but her skin temp is warmer than mine and DD#1's. Aruba is very arid - no place for them to breed. Once you get up toward Puerto Rico and nearer the U.S., I think it's more humid, but I could be all wrong. I never learbned geometry right. i concur on the Caribbean side vs. the Atlantic side!
Thanks everyone. The drama continues with the banned member. She is now on a third site in our network and on Facebook spewing her insanity.
I'm teaming up with the owner of the first site where she 'lost it' to get her banned from the entire network of nearly a million sites. I can play nasty too.
On another note. I ran across the old ticket stubs for my last Caribbean vacation today. Dated 1993 to Cancun. It's not Barbados but mighty fine.
Andy P
Wow - that's awful, Andy. Best of luck.
She's not my problem any more. She can't get in to my site but she can raise cane from the outside.
I was up till midnight dealing with her foolishness and spent hours this morning picking up the pieces.
I've worked for years to create a friendly, relaxed web site. This woman was flooding everyones message box with stupid stuff and creating general discord. I'm chasing her, members are contacting me, she must type 300 wpm. lol
I'm just now getting to normal stuff.
Ooooh. You go Mr. Nasty!
Good luck. I hope it all works out OK.
Too bad some people are just _ssssses! Hopefully most can see through her messes.
So much for death by chocolate...

I recommend, for those who wish to increase their cocoa flavinoid intake w/out the sugar and fat that go with chocolate, homemade hot cocoa. Plain cocoa, a little sugar, a little vanilla, and hot non-fat milk. (It doesn't *have* to be hot, but it won't mix right if it's not hot.)
I've been buying bars of dark---70% cocoa----chocolate bars with raspberries or blueberies----the trick is to eat only 1 ounce, but it's supposed to be good for arthritis pain.
Andy, Don't send her chocolate!
Some people can't follow rules. They tend to suck up a lot of time. It will pass though.
Oh, David, you're talking about Andy's 'lady,' not Robindog!!!
Here, here----you can send me chocolate---I'm not on Andy's website!
