What expressions (or words) drive you nuts?? - Part 3

Dahlonega, GA

No, I wouldn't know him if I saw him . He's a well thought of fellow around here . digger

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Now there's a really overused word - awesome.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

But Bill is really awesome!

Oh yeah and congrats to your grandson, that's awesome!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Whew lots to catch up on. Good to see you here DonM47 ^_^
Moo and E made me were ugly brown leather boys shoes when I was little cuz I wore shoes out so fast so I did not have 'tennies' or 'sneakers'. I did have one pair of cool ones later in life for sailing which I called 'deck shoes'. Everyone thought they looked like bowling shoes though and they did.
I still use the 'liar, liar, pants on fire' expression.
I throw like I want to. Catching is the other guys problem.
Congrats Digger!!! We will all want tickets when he makes the majors ^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was just at the PO sending a box and I love how they ask if it contains anything dangerous or explosive. I'm sure the Unabomber or anthrax killers would have said yes!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Like when I ask for stamp to mail to the states and they say "O a US stamp". Um no we are not allowed to use US stamps, only Canadian stamps. Even I know that.

The best was when I went to give blood and the nurse asked if I'd come in contact with another bleeding person in the last 60 days. Yupper my DH (he did a face plant on the driveway). Then she asked if I wore gloves. Um no we are married and I believe we're allowed to share kissy spit and such and I thought applying a bandaid without gloves was also covered under the marriage licence. She had no sense of haha and wouldn't let me give blood unless my DH came in for a blood test.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

those bleeding persons cause so many problems...
when are you out this way, DNut?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

dnut that is tooooo funny!!!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Katye Thurs, Aug 20th coming right by ^_^ Planning to be at Pooch's by lunchtime at the latest. I'll dmail you re: phone numbers as I will be puterless at Moo and Es.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I always use gloves when sharing kissy spit and such.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

True Victor gloves, tails and a top hat are very romantic when sharing kissy spit but really I think it's a little overkill for applying a JI Joe bandaid. (Although apparently not if I ever want to give blood again).

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is GI JI in CA?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

BIG time although my nephew was more of a transformer man. I like GI Joe bandaids cuz it makes your owies look tough.

Dahlonega, GA

It's interchangeable . D

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Another - the little box on bill envelopes that says, 'The Post Office will not deliver without proper postage.' Duh. Almost as good as the 'This is not a toy' message on plastic!

Thomaston, CT

How about "This product----(can of nuts-) contains nut & seed particles". My DH was bitten by Anni's dinosaur the other day, & the only bandaids I could find were My Little Pony.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Live dinosaur?!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Wow! getting bit by a dinosaur, I'd assume you'd need more than a band aid.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

We definitely need this story!!! Enquiring minds need to know all the details!!! ps I'm jealous about the Little Pony Band Aids. I don't think we can get them here :(

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

I remember when The Bachelor first aired (2002), the catch-word was "amazing". I had an amazing time . . . you're an amazing person . . .this was an amazing experience, etc.

Made me want to throw up!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

an amazing throwup????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Just saw this headline in a science email newsletter I get: 'Amputee Sprinter Runs Differently'. Ya think?!

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

NOOOO, you don't say :-)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And this warranted research!

Thomaston, CT

My granddaughters have a large collection of dinosaurs, some brought back from Australia---some have jointed mouths, with large plastic teeth---my DH was holding a T-rex & growling at the kids---they came back with larger, toothier ones & proceeded to have a war---unfortunately a tooth struck DH who is on coumadin, & bleeds a lot! Anni was so upset, but I assured her her Grampy always wears a lot of bandaids----not many Little Pony ones, though---LOL.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I think you nedd dinosaur band aids (Or, actually adhesive strips- given the thread)

Congratulaions Digger!

D'nut, you crack me up!

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Funny stuff! Hope Anni wasn't upset too long!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

You guys 'crack me up'!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Good story RobinD. I hope everyone, including the dinosaurs, were wearing gloves.

Dahlonega, GA

Or at least, brushed their teeth D

Thomaston, CT

We were at the farm today babysitting while Mom took care of the blueberry farm---the girls actually noticed their Grandpa had changed bandages---no more My Liitle Pony! No more dinosaur wars, either---Nana put her foot down!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

^_^

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Heard another yesterday. '...in any way, shape or form' Can't stand that one. So silly. My wife uses it occasionally - hee hee!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

is she talking about you?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - can't post what she says about me.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I'm not sure if that's good or bad...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

LOL

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

What bothers you about that Victor? Too repititive?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah - just silly and exaggerated.
