Gail, sounds like you are well covered for sure. Nothing for me today except HOT HOT and HUMIDDDDDD!! Been inside planting up some babies. Baby Crepe Myrtle, and a few other things. Rose of sharons etc. They are just too small to put outside yet, besides the heat, I'm afraid one of us with mow them down!!! LOL Laura H

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Someone sent me the most beautiful baby Rose of Sharon (big double blooms). That was last summer and she is still alive in a pot outside (LOL)

I was waiting until spring to plant until we found out we were going to have drought (or were already in the middle of the drought by March).........

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

;( none for me today either....wah!!!!

HOT AND HUMID HERE too! I hate to complain because it has been a milder Summer than the past few, but I really love low humidity and 80 degrees or less...lol

I have volunteer Crepe Myrtle everywhere I have to rip it out and get rid of it every year...I didn't realize they will come up from the crawling roots of the shrub. Mine are a beautiful color, but I can't have them everywhere they want to grow...lol

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I love Crepe Myrtles and particularly like the new red one they came out with a few years ago. But.........I do love any color of them.

Wouldn't we all think we were in heaven with 80 degree temps whether there is humidity or not!!!!

I am so glad you are back with us, Janet..............I do hope that people make something to bring good vibes, be it a hat or not. I have 8 now and it just has to be my hat tossing those bingo balls in the right way..........

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Gail - is your W. Pink Patches big enough to grab a leaf from?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I have a confession to make.........at the time Betty Lou gave it back to me, I sent leaves to everyone who asked for one and then forgot to save myself a leaf and threw her in the garbage can............what does that say about me???????????????????? I don't even have a leaf.

I am going to be looking for a good leaf of her..........so will get several if I find her again.........it all started with Goldleaf sending me a leaf about 2 years ago........(or longer). Goldleaf had said it really makes a difference in the mother plant and the variegation one gets in growing this plant.

She had sent me a really good one to start the whole thing...........she is not posting now so I don't know if she kept a Wrangler's Pink Patches or not..............let's remember to ask her.

Richland, MI(Zone 5b)

Nobody shouting BINGO yet?

I wanted to see Wrangler's Pink Patches, and indeed she's a very pretty one: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/135448/

I think Gail's bingo-hat-device seems to work. With yesterday's call, I just managed to have a fat total of 4 calls. So, I'll start working on my own device, or else I'll remain bongo...

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I am going to start searching every leaf vendor I know.............just hope she has as much variegation as the one Goldleaf started a couple of years ago. That is where I got the first leaf.........
Hi, Makshi, Bonnie and Goofybulb...............yup, my hat is working!!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Guess what!! I just ordered Wrangler's Pink Patches leaves. I have asked the vendor on ebay if I can have 4 of them. That should really get us started again with her!!

Yes, Laura..............bring yourself some good luck with a receptor of some kind!!
I just got 4 leaves of Pink Patches.........can grow enough for everyone to have a plant..........hip hip hooray.....
