Do you use a Dramm watering tool?

I remember Dramms being mentioned in one of LariAnn's wonderful articles. I think they are supposed to be the Cadillac of waterers. Anybody use them? which one? what do you think?

If they are indeed this good, a Dramm coop would be wonderful, wouldn't it

I use them! I love them. I've bought the regular water breakers, and also the ultra fine for watering seedlings. I don't water anything without them.

One year I found a bunch of immitation cheap plastic ones at Big Lots, and bought a bundle...I'm almost through all of them...

The plastic are nice for not getting too hot in the summer heat, but crack easy after the sun hits them for a while...

The metal ones last longer, but get HOT if they sit in the sun

what? nobody else uses Dramm?

I recently got the hand held called "revolver", locally for $12. previous to that, I had purchased noids for $3 and Vigoro, and other brands sold at Home Depot / Lowes for $6-7. All of them made it 1 season only. So, I decided to get the Dramm to see if it fares better. So far, so good, but it's new. http://www.rainwand.com/hand-held.html

T, which Dramm do u have?

If you've had a Dramm, pls post here and tell us which one and how you like it. I am interested. thanks.

Ok, here is some, but not all of mine. The top blue one is a big lots knock-off for three dollars. As you can see, we broke it. We have a habit of just dropping the hose when done, instead of "placing it" on the ground, or hanging it on something.

The middle two are the plastic shell with metal screen, and the green one on the bottom is all metal. The metal won't crack as easily as the plastic ones, but I've still had them crack around the rim after a number of years, because the metal is thin. Also, the all-metal ones get very hot when left in the sun.

As you can see they are all pretty beat-up, but hey...they are nine years old!

The red one is the finest hole size they make. It is for seedlings.

This blue one says 400, so I'd imagine the red one is an 800 or so...

who puts them down carefully? not me.

Hmmm, I didn't even know that was an option. You mean some people actually lay them down carefully????? I learn something new every day. LOL

It doesn't seem to matter what you pay anymore, they all break for me (maybe because of rough handling????) within one season. I just wish I was smart enough to hold on to the receipt together with the warranty and get my money back.

I have a Dramm and love it - I wouldn't water with anything else.
