Can some one tell me how do you know when potatoes are ready? I planted some sweet potatoes first time for me and wondering how do you know when to dig them up? petsaverannette

Standard practice for Kentucky is just before the first killing frost. Some folks scratch out a few of the larger ones in late August with out killing the plant. Works if you are in a big hurry for sweet potatoes.

I have a dwarf fig tree,planted in a container outside,will bring in when it starts to get cool,i have 3 figs so far....Does anyone know how to take care of it when brought in and when do you know when figs are ready to pick.Thanks for any info. petsaverannette crestwood,ky
