that Zwanenburg looks beautiful .. what a neat color
What have you ordered for 2009 - Part 9
The weather held out yesterday. So I got most of my bulbs planted. I started out in a shirt, sweatshirt, winter coat and a winter hat. After 5 shovel fulls of dirt I took off the coat.. then after another 5 off came the hat. It ended up being a fine day for working after all. Just getting started when I'm chilly is the hard part. Once I got going I warmed right up. It helped I was in full sun and the sun was actually out. Glad it's over with, now I am down to about 60 dafs left to plant. : )
My tulip and allium bulbs are enroute. I'm trying them again after bbrookrd's spring display .
The next few days look to be great for planting.
My B&D Lilies came yeaterday and were planted.
Brent and Beckys tulips come today.
and can I just mention again???..... I LOVE my bulb planter!
come and try that bulb planter up here Jen.. see how fast it breaks...LOL.. all lovely choices... what is the daff in the first shot on the lower left?
Double Poet's
I like that one!!
I got it from Bluestone.
cheap too!!!.. gotta love it!!... thanks!!
You're welcome. When I ordered it I had a coupon too.
it's going on my list for next year... I am done ... for now
Yeah me too. I saved $60 from my anniversary money for something I REALLY want, haven't decided what yet.
I have to plant 2 hydrangeas and an azalea and I'm done for this year.
tulips came yesterday.
Thats what I am doing today.
Picasa isnt co-operating with finding multi files or I would make a collage
frustrations at this hour are a bad sign
love that yellow one in the middle
think its Yellow Present
Very pretty.... I love the one in the upper left and the upper right I just love peach in the garden. I need to get more peachy ones...hmmmm new project next year???
Flowerjen Those will look fabulouso! : )
Ge Picasa does that to me too, I think it is caused when your PC is too low on memory. Try a disc cleanup and deleting old Internet files. I usually have to take pictures off my hard drive to get it to work right. If nothing else works, I usually just go into my pics and move the files to a new folder and then open the new file with Picasa, usually it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Any whoo your Tulip choices will look wonderful! : )
The Tulip in the upper right corner looks like one I wanted or ordered. I found that same pic when I googled it. I like looking at pics from real peoples gardens before I order stuff. The chances of finding what they actually look like is much better that way! : )
I think the upper right one is Salmon Pearl
Nice choice's ladies!!
Beautious all! I can't wait for the spring show!
we will get spring before you do
I have an early cyberspring ge. I plop into the TX forum in January and nudge them into posting their spring bulbous things on the Bulbous Forum. Then I send them some lilac pics and other things in the summer that they have trouble with in their climate.
Your just crewel that way.
Its like watching the spring arrive in March in the zones south of here.
Pirl and Victor and Bill always have crocus and tulips before the snow is gone here.
That's one of the best things about DG, I get to enjoy gardens all year even though alls I have here is snow and ice! : )
Amen!
so says the mainer :)
I just loaded myself up with Amaryllis bulbs so I won't go totally crazy this winter.^_^
Have the thalia bulbs bought from a service project still sitting in their bag. One more day of warm weather so will have to get DH to plant them--he is the planter of bulbs. The care of the siberian iris bed was more important. Weeding day for bearded iris beds has priority tomorrow.
I planted 5 out of 6 of the new peonies today, all the crocus's (90) and cleaned most of the yard for the year. I'm pooped.
Exactamondo Meredith! Let's not even talk about the Australian Forum and their dahlias in our winter! I plan to floozy into their Tea thread this winter ^_^ They have WAY cool birds too BTW. I still have poop and compost to spread Pixie so I will be pooped doing poop. I want to strew a punch of poppy seeds and wildflower seeds too and still need to collect some seeds. I think I'm going to have to bag some seed pods as they are popping faster than I can pop about. Missed a few poppers already with the early freezyness :(
our dead tree comes down today
Cool I'll check out the Australian forum! I know where I'll be lurking in Jan! ha ha : )
joann you crack me up!
I'm just a hunka burnin luv
Its a perk of old age.
I can appreciate a well turned peck and they have no idea whats going on in my head.
