Hello,
This is my first year growing watermelon. I bought them as seedlings and they have grown nicely (I think). I have several vines that are over 5 feet long. They have been blossoming for approximately one month and I have lots of blossoms. The problem is that they all appear to be male flowers. I have not seen a female flower yet and I've had more than 50 flowers. My cucumbers always get male flowers first but have never taken this long to produce female flowers.
I live in Southern California and have been fertilizing. I am growing Charleston Gray and Black Diamond watermelons.
Any thoughts? suggestions?
Thanks :)

watermelon producing only male flowers..where's the ladies?
They'll show up soon. They like to be fashionably late. :)
