Becky, last fall I lost alot of Spanish Flag seeds to early frost. I had tons of seeds on my vine but there was no way to save them. I was so sad. I didn't grow any this year - but may be next year. I did manage to save a few.

Dany, Debra is right about your garden being "morning glory heaven" - do I see a Torii gate in there? A friend once told DH and I that the gate we built for Heavenly Blue MG many years ago was like a Torii gate and would "keep out the demons". I had never heard of a Torii gate, but built one without knowing. I'll stop here - long story about Asia touching both our lives many years ago - amazing that forgotten experiences would surface in a Torii gate, though.

Your quest for a black MG has me rivetted to your thread - and so many others. Thanks for sharing.

Do I see a vine theme carved into the Transylvanian gate? Dany, that is just lovely - so intricate. I hope Becky is watching this thread - you've caught her Kohkan in glowing light.
