Two months or so ago, my first orchid bloomed. And, for the fun of it I decided to try to pollinate it it. It appears to have worked and now I have two pods growing where the flowers were.
Only now I don't know what to do. I'm maintaining the same fertilizing schedule as before. Every two weeks, a heavy saturation of orchid blooming fertilizer, which seems to be working, as, on top of the pods, the orchid's put out a new set of leaves. The larger of the pods, though, is getting these "cracks" across it, as though the pod's stretching a bit too much for it's skin. Otherwise the plant is completely healthy and happy. What's it doing?
