I agree
Coffee Break # 15 - Where were you??
Great bear stories! My DH is always trying to see one---I'm like "What for?" Have not seen live bear, but one of my dales picked up large object behind bushes behind the dam---I pulled it away from him, only to discover it was the forearm of a bear----nails as long as my fingers----screamed mightily & threw it into the swamp. Washed my hands ten times!
LOL... funny now... sure it was not at the time
Robindog - that one takes the prize in my book! I bet your dog thought he/she was doing something really special for you.
gaaaaack
this was in today's paper....SIGH

wow - a bear in the garage
Groundhog sounds nasty too.
Onewish--Looks like Yogi was a busy bear that day. Didnt know they would eat it frozen. Unless he took it home to cook it :-)
Smart bear! I didn't know woodchucks would attack! And, back to bears, our weekly paper came out today---our local swimming hole had to be evacuated because of a bear strolling around.
my guess is his freezer didn't work too well... how could it smell something frozen?
He's either been in a few prior to this, or - brand recognition.
Scary if bears can read!
He probably was curious, opened it, & hit paydirt!
Good Boy, Wall-e!!!
Well whereever I was at the time of the moon walk it wasn't on a planet where DoubleBubble costs .10 cents a piece AND is smaller too :O There still is a Pud comic though so all is not completely alien. The DoubleBubble Fun Fact is: 'A flea can jump 100 times its own height'. There. That was your educational moment for the day.
I was about 7 months pregers with # 1 son and we were living with my mom and saving up for a place of out own. No 40 years later she is living with us. Full circle.
D-Nut the last time I bought bubble gum it was 2 cents a piece. Thanks for the fun fact of the day. :)
still prefer bazooka although hard to find - we usually have double bubble on the bench for softball games - stopped reading the comics a couple years ago because it can't read the dam little type anymore! (we play at night, i might be able to read it in the day)
It's probably that short arm disease people get as the years add on. Wonder what makes arms get shorter or maybe its the trombone slide effect you have Bill. LOL I have been in need of glasses since I had measles back in the dark ages.
I have the spectacles that make me tip my head up and down now. According to my eyeguy they are the thing I need but I think they make me look like a duck bobbing around. wha I think it is your side-ways-stretched-eyeball syndrome from your wide-screen TV that is causing the problem with the comics.
there is a reason you are d NUT:)
He hee
Wasn't the bubble gum always stale? I ate it, though, & loved the baseball cards which of course my Mom threw away!
good for Wall-e Jen... at the one barn I boarded at... the one woman used to bring a huge doberman .. he was the best mouser / ratter I have ever seen... all you have to say is Dino where's the rat??.. the dog would go out of his mind and look for them... the under ground tunnels they lived in made me crazy.. he can smell or hear them... and couldn't get to them... the one day we were out for a ride and came back to him... he dug a 3 foot deep hole trying to get to the things.. amazing animal
Dnut, that kind of flea trivia is useful. What is the height of the average flea, I wonder ;o)
I found this: "Fleas can jump over 80 times their own height, the equivalent of a 6 foot tall human jumping over a building 480 feet (more than 1 and a half football fields)high!" Good thing they don't play basketball or the NBA would seem pretty wimpy!
Don't have to wonder much about why they have a circus
Still don't know the height of a flea! I'm not trying to be difficult and I don't really care, but the way the initial statement was made, it made me wonder.
True Harper. With flea clowns and a flea ringmaster?
Hi y'all from sunny(not) northeast Florida.
I have been looking for the height of a flea but so far have only found out how long one is 1/16 of a inch. They look a little square so the should be about that tall. Hope that helps. Tried but could not get one to hold still long enough to measure. LOL
Here is my scientific assistant.
cute
He's bouncy! How's your weather been, Wren?
5' 6" Googleguy knows everything http://www.whosdatedwho.com/celebrities/people/dating/flea.htm
Wow! Then he can jump over 480'!!
Back from KY - must say that most of the people there (and in TN) are mighty friendly.
You were in KY too?
I agree the folks are friendly. I was in Louavul. Where were you?
Really?! Were you there on vacation or business??
I was in Mammoth Cave NP on vacation. Had a great time. It's a must-see.
Funny - you were nearby the day of my stickball game and now in KY at the same time! Stalker.^_^
That's Right!!
I was there Sun--Friday for a training. Didn't get to do as much as I would have liked but I caught the Muhammad Ali museum. That was very cool.
I will put Mammoth Cave on my list.
Cool - I would love to see the Ali museum. In Louisville??
Yes. Birthplace of Cassius Clay & Col. Sanders and home to the Kentucky Derby and the Louisville Slugger.
