Good grief, even we weren't that hot. Believe me, I feel for you, the mid 90's is bad enough.
BTW, that is a really cool castor bean. Gotta love that color.

Yes it's a new one called Black Death there are really dark purple!!!

Yesterday 114, today 113, tomorrow 112...we're having a cooling trend :-P We should be around our seasonal average of 107 by the end of the week. Right now I'm trying just to keep things alive...me included. We had our first thunderstorm of the season in our area last night which helped a little. This time of year we have humidity. Not any where near what you have in SC and points east, but I think with the high temps it must feel similar.

WOW!!!!
Are you sure you're in Kansas, Papa???

It's in the 90's here, don't the mosquitoes take a break from the heat?

Yeah,they break into your skin!!!!LOL

Wow I just don't see how you people can garden in that heat,100* everything looks wilted and watering doesn't help much until after the sun goes down and then the plants come back to life!!!

"Life" in the desert is a relative term.....right now I don't think of this as living so much as surviving.... something my plants must totally agree with :-( Still, when the weather is nice I love it. :-) Right now we have another thunder storm...GLORIOUS rain...the smell in the air is moist and fragrant. I guess that's why newbies here think we're nuts and obsessed when the news coverage here about "monsoon" is so over the top!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I think the smell of rain is wonderful no matter where you live, but where you live is ,is like a breathe of heaven!!!!
