Bogey not flowering...:(

Hayward (Z8b-9a), CA(Zone 8b)

Any advice on how to FORCE my bogey to start making bracts?!? It's lush with green leaves but no bracts/flowers! Tried fertlizin it but that only created more leaves! I pruned it two weeks ago but that only created new growth of- wait for it- LEAVES!

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

I've had the best luck and best flowering with them when I keep them on the dry side and don't fertilize them. I've seen other people post that they water and fertilize theirs more regularly and they still get good blooms, but since you've tried that way and it hasn't worked, maybe try ignoring them a bit more and see if that helps. Also, when did you plant them? Sometimes plants will take time to get their roots going, then they'll put out some green growth, then they'll get around to flowering, so if you just planted them this year it could be you just need to be patient for a little bit.
