Miracle Gro works fine for me. I alternate with deodorized fish emulsion, which is available at Agway here in the northeast.

I use the organic fertilizers, as I'm not crazy about where all the Miracle Grow goes into the environment. Flowertone or even Milorganic, which is more of a general fertilizer, should do the trick.

All fish emulsion adds in the way of nutrients is nitrogen. You're not applying a balanced fertilizer.

Catz, what kind of Annual plant are you wanting to help out? Miracle grow would be just fine if you are wanting to aid the plant for the season.

I want a good multi purpose fertlizer. Mainly somthing that will help the plants come back after the snow is gone

get a soil test done to find out what nutrients your soil lacks

No fertilizer will help an annual come back after the snow, meaning winter. It is an annual, meaning it grows blooms, then dies the same year after blooming. Annuals are temporary plants.
