HI Everyone Mekos the baby was a boy named Miles Gamble Troxell. His nana (my sister) is in love already along with everyone else. I got the first pair of booties done but those were for another baby coming soon so I'll be making another set or two for this one.
Hmmmm night blooming jasmine in goth garden..... somehow I don't think it will be a bit scared of those black plants since it's a night owl itself and would likely lord it over those black things since they won't show up at night when it's doing it's thing. Just my thought on it.

And I think the reason whey it took so long to get here in spite of you saying priorty mail is they didn't put any priority mail stickers on it at all and it went regular mail instead. Hey Mekos you can get free priorty stickers from the PO website along with free boxes all you have to do is sign up for a free account with them and order them. They send them to you. Thank you for spoiling me with your surprises.

I have 51 dahilas to put in the ground so they will grow bigger before frost don't expect them to bloom this year. Was going to share but there's 3 kinds and all mixed up in the box.

WOW!!!! You are GOOD girl. Those are beautiful! I've never been good at needle point but when I was expecting, I crochet my babies blankets and sweaters, booties and bonnets and later crochet my grand-daughters some dresses, I still have 2 or 3 of the dresses after they out grew them. I can't see well enough for the needle work though and really never had patience for that. YOU did great. I love those.

I think they are pretty too Mindy. I use to crochet and do all that but my hands just don't cooperate anymore so I gave it up.Keep up the good work, it is nice to see some people can still do this LOL

evening all. been a busy day here in Kitty City. However... I am down one kitty now. a coworker came over this afternoon and absolutely fell in love with Sasha. He had lost his cat a few years ago to an illness and hadnt been up to adopting another the last couple of years, that is, until he saw Sasha. he went bonkers over her and practically begged to take her home. How could I say no? I know she will get lots of love there and being that he has no other pets and lives alone, I am sure they will bond quite quickly, tho I made him promise to let me visit every now and then...

sooo, now it's three.. my 2 year old Severus, and Sookie and Sirius... lol... still quite a tribe of kitties i got here

Morning everyone. While you peeps were all up chatting about dark cookies and such, I was still getting my beauty sleep!!!

Thank you Mekos and Flower. I've been crocheting since I was 15 but it's getting hard to work with dark colors now due to an eye disease I have. But I'm going to keep doing it and knitting as long as I can it's the most relaxing indoor activity I do. Gardening is my outside passon LOL.

We are having cloudy day and nice temperature which is odd for July here but I'm not complaining.

Those of you with water gardens may I ask you to help me design one for my DH. He wants one with a waterfall and windmill feature in a side yard which has a low spot that already holds water when we get good rainfall and is near our water tank so would be easy to keep filled. Should I just dig that spot deeper or use a preformed pool? This is a project to be completed next year so I have time to learn what I need to know so any tips and advice would be appreciated.

Are you interested in a suggestion thread here? Any imput on how we should place it? I want to tell you a little story too it made me chuckle...My daughter works in a physicians office. Good morning ALL. Hi Margaret, here is one I use to do, if you like knitting. I made a bunting for the babies in the winter so arms and hands would stay in and warm. You knit a big square shaped piece the size of a receiving blanket. Put the receiving blanket on top and stitch them together - now inside out - Fold each side over to mid- front, stitch across the bottom and install a zipper down the front for opening up. Leave the top open and crochet or knit a round hat ,line it with piece of receiving blanket and add elastic to hold snug around the baby's face,loosely and attach it to the bunting and when baby is inside it's all warm and cozy and can't squirm out anywhere to get cold hands or feet. When this is finished it will look like a rectangle blanket with hood on top and zippered down the front to put baby in. Very easy to make and so warm and no losing booties or gloves, it's all one piece.

Hey blondie, that red plant on the right side, is it in the water or just in the dirt beside it. I have that same plant and was wondering if it would do better in the pot in the pond or just plant in the ground.
