I have recently bought a plant and its great in cooking, its in a pot....I'm worried about planting it out as its a memeber of the Persicaria family which includes the EXTREMLY invasive knotweed....anyone know more about this plant?

I was told to use a scrap piece of PVC pipe on my apple mint witch is also invasive.

If you sink the pipe into the ground with 1 inch above the soil it will contain the roots
