Let me know if there is a more appropriate place to post this question:
Is it okay to compost using two old trash cans and just mix by dumping one to the other on occasion? I don't know if the container is not a good idea but I thought it would be an easy way to get a compost area started for my garden. Any opinions?

That'll work. Drill some holes in the bottom so excess moisture can get out. I use a black plastic can with a lid. I hold it on with a bungee cord. I turn it on it's side and roll it around a little every day. Works fine.

Perfect! All I need to do is drill some holes in the bottom and keep it shut with a bungee cord! I love things that make life a little easier!
