I am just a bit early but I did not want to be late either!
We came from here... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1010135/
Hard to believe we are in the peak of summer birds and they are in the process of finishing up nesting duties and are busy now raising they young ones. In a mater of weeks the trip south will begin for many of our summer friends. It has all gone so fast this year.
Here are few of the birds of summer here....

DAILY PICS #230
Wonderful pics nanny!
Thanks for starting the new thread!
Nice photos, nanny, to start a new thread. I'm always partial to the Pileated Woodpecker. I haven't had an opportunity to photograph one this year .... so far.
Here's a recent photo of the 'Eastern Towhee'. I have always wondered why I see 10 times the number of males versus the female Towhee. I know the female is nesting, but ..............
Thanks for the new thread nanny, great assortment of birds there. I'm getting a bunch of babies with parents also.
Some truly wonderful shots on the previous thread, love the Osprey shot Meth.
duc very good shots of Swallows and Orioles in the flowers.
Reddirt, good one of the Night Heron.
Mommy feeding peanuts to baby Downy.
I'll take any of the towhees. I miss them a lot.
Yes, thank you Nanny for starting the thread. Looks like you've been busy! Great pictures, and what an awesome variety of birds at that. I love the blue Jay picture. Great Job!
Linth that female towhee.is great!! Even when they come to the yard I can't get a good photo of the female!
Burd very nice goldfinch...I need to carry a tripod with me I guess!
Cute downy's burn!! I love all the baby birds around now. But we have so many Blue Jays....so noisy when they come in the morning!
Linth, Love the Towhees and Oriole!
Burn, Sweet pics of the downies, finch and chickadee!
Burd, Nice job on the Goldfinch pics!
Nanny, Love the Pileated!
A couple of Black-crowned Night Herons fishing. From yesterday's outing. Taken just at dawn, not really enough light for a good pic, but an interesting shot of the birds. There were several Great Egrets, Night Herons and Snowy Egrets around this area, but these two fought them off repeatedly for this fishing spot.
There were 15 Great Egrets on this opening in the Cattails. Also Night Herons, Little Blue Herons and a couple of Great Blue Herons. Lake Overholser, OKC.
here are some photos I took last weekend... while smoking some ribs

Cool shot Red...almost looks like a painting!
I prefer to eat ribs myself...LOL!!! :0)
The red bellied wp came to the feeder in late April--otherwise we just hear them Busy-body is the downy. I enjoy everyone's pictures.
Excellent photos, everyone.
Burd, nice shot of the Goldfinch. I checked the Exif on your first photo and the shutter speed was at 1/640 of a second. You had bright light, a shutter speed of 1/640 of a second, and a tripod. That combination provided you with a nice clear photo.
This morning I saw two deer (buck) in my backyard. I quickly grabbed my camera and took a few shots at 1/500 sec. (Manual Mode). I checked them and they were all dark. I quickly turned the mode to Automatic and shot quite a few more in the "burst" mode. It was early morning with a dark background and the shutter speed was at 1/50 of a second. However, shooting in the burst mode provided me with some blurry photos, and a few "okay" photos. And, I was hand-holding at 500mm. If you have the burst mode, that helps also.
Anyway, here's a photo of a 'Prairie Warbler'. I've taken a lot of photos of this warbler, this year, in comparison to past years.
