We are coming from http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1009995/#new
I got there little beauties at Kassia's RU a couple of years ago. I forget the donors name but I think they are both hers. I love them both. Thank you.
Astilbe pumila chinensis and a dwarf Hosta with Moon in the name.

Hi Andy. We usually start a new one at 300 posts, but thanks. I love that astilbe. One of my favorites and it takes more sun and needs less water.
What ever you say
I think I have that coleus Victor, is yours in more sun or shade? Mine is in mostly shade, and I was wondering if the colors would be better with a little more sun.
Full, but bright shade, Deb. It's in my window box along my front walkway.
LOL
Victor I love that lavatera... what a delicate looking flower... and I wouldn't mind a cutting of that coleus.. it is gorgeous!.. which is it?
I am not going to lie and say I knew caladiums bloomed before this year.... because I had no idea.. the ones I got from HD never did... when I saw one on the co-op thread I loved them even more... NOW I have one too... to my shock!!
Cool, Allison! I think they're called spathes. I have gotten them in Bill's caladiums before.
The coleus is Smallwood's Drive - from the co-op with Rosy Dawn.
now I am bummed reading that it might zap the energy away from the leaf production... and to cut them off before they form
:(
At least you have a pic!
yes I can say that
Victor!
I got Smallwoods Drive as a bonus. Mine are not doing well here.
Everyones pix are beautiful. Those clems are wonderful, mine from the Koi co-op probably wont live thru the winter.
That will make a 100% loss for both co-ops from them, perennials as well as Clems.
Its been an expensive lesson ordering on line for the first time this year.
Many small pl;ants and losses leave red lines thru nursery names.
Love the poppies! I have some just getting ready to bloom... perhaps when the sun returns this weekend.
where is that tread on phrases that bug you?
full but bright shade - victor what the heck is full but bright shade!?! did you mean full and bright shade:)
i knew where it was:) just busting on victor
oops... sorry...
Hee hee. It's full shade - virtually no direct sun at all. But lots of reflected light make it bright.
ge1836, what is the name of that purple poppy with the fringed edges in your 2nd collage?
As everyone else in the Northeast the weather has really slowed down the blooms.
One good thing is that we seem to have several hummingbirds at the feeder this year.
It looks like a little family group. There is a male, a female and one that looks very small like it is this years baby.
I was very lucky to get Mrs. at the feeder last week.

Have not seen our hummers in weeks---I think they drowned-----or went back south if they are smart! Jo Ann, is that purple poppy Lauren's Grape? Really nice.
Nice pics, ge. Hope your hummers come back, Robin.
Oops! I just noticed there was a new post, and here I was posting on the old one. Well, here are comments for pics on the previous thread:
Kayte, I love that 'Sunburst' begonia! Luscious!
Jo Anne, I thought maybe 'Envy Me' on your NOID spider DL http://db.tinkersgardens.com/?script=3.1 but maybe not.
Nice clivia, Willie. Don't you hate that when batteries die?!!!
Jen, I've thought about posting on the long view thread before, many times, but I barely keep up now with this thread and some others. Where is the time? Maybe after the season is over, when I have more time.
Allison, nice pics on Picasa. I especially like the shots of the agastaches, the bees and the squirrels and birds. When you scroll through them quickly you just about have a movie. Very entertaining! Your stuff for your new fairy spot is great! Love it! I love the 'Jack' clem, too!
Victor, I love your pic of 'Indian Giver'. Isn't that a great flower?
Marilyn, yes, I think your NOID DL is 'Startle'. I have it and don't like it at all. It never looks good for me. That one is getting chucked rather than have it take up good garden space.
Wonderful collage, Anita! You have a lot going on.
And here are comments for posts on this new thread:
I love your astilbe, Andy. Very nice one!
Nice hummer shot, dogwalker.
That 'Creative Art' DL is a nice one, Allison.
Karen
Dyane The purple poppy is from the Heritage mixture .
I direct sowed them.
Bought them from One Stop Poppy Shoppe
Karen... I do love the action mode on my camera for that kind of stuff... it will just keep firing as long as the button is pushed in... I enjoyed taking them... my sat morning entertainment is always enjoyable
too cute Ge
I love the poppies.. must add more of them next year!

I must have had a "Geezer moment"
