I planted my petunias a couple of months ago, very small little plants, that are now huge. They are so big that they are starting to bend over and lay flat. I put them in a wave pattern blue on one line and white on another. My question is can I divide them to fill in a couple of bare spots in another part of my garden as they are growing so well. I don't want to hurt the plants I've got now as they are so beautiful but I would love to be able to divide them if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks so much and I'm so glad I found this website it's wonderful!!
can I divide petunias that are in the ground,
You should be fine in divding them. Just be sure to water them with a transpalnt solution (I use fish emolsion on mine) Also make sure that you water them well before dividing.
Good luck!
