Is it okay to use egg shells and teabags as a mulch? I am growing catmint.
egg shells, tea bags and coffee grounds in the garden
Yes, perfectly ok to use them.
Make sure you rinse the eggshells first--they can attract four-footed rodents. The coffee grounds will add a bit of nitrogen, and the teabags won't hurt anything (but they will break down faster if you rip the little bag first).
Isn't catmint a wonderful plant? I don't know about it being attractive to cats, but it sure is to humans!
is there anything else I could use? my garden is only 8 square feet and I have many flower planters. I dont have anywhere to store a bag of mulch
