Never thought of using tomato cages. Good idea !

Knowing how big they get and how wide I bought a trellis for them and it works beautifully. Mine now has 14 stalks.

I saw vinyl coated tomato cages in several different colors and sizes at a nursery a few weeks ago. Don't know why anyone would want colored cages...and they weren't cheap, either !

It's supposedly to make them rust proof and less visible.

Thanks! It wasn't expensive either - around $10. or $12.

See that ! A trellis doesn't necessarily have to be used for vines or roses !
Good thinking pirl ! (again ! )

Looks like I'd need 40 more to do the new delphiniums!
