Here's one other shot.
It's the tree at the entrance to the parking lot. The driveway has been roped off by the police. We have another entrance at the other end of the lot that's usually locked. We had to open the gate so people could get in & out.
You can see a silver colored pole between the utility pole and the tree (in front of the pine tree) That's what's left of our flagpole.

News 12 just announced that the Natl Weather Svc says it was not a tornado.
It was 80 MPH winds in what is called a "Down Burst".
There are still areas without power.
It was so freaky!

We had a micro burst on the 4th of July here that did similar damage but centered all on ONE HOME!!

Oh and it's SUNNY here today, high of 75 expected. We didn't even make it to 60 yesterday.
glad your ok nancy - they had several inches of hail fall in a couple areas up here yesterday with the same wind shear effect although it did not cause the same damage

Glad things turned out OK for you, Nancy---very scary. My son had to pull over coming home from work because of the hail on the roadway---this was in Drumlin's town--hope she didn't have too much damage, either. Hope you wear a parka to the game tonight, Victor---48 predicted for here tonight---not just blankets, but the dogs on the bed, too!
Ugh. The Mets were horrible. On the positive side, the stadim is really nice and we got two batting practice balls!

This is the strangest weather for this time of year. So blasted cold for July.

Another gorgeous day. I have my patio guys digging out the concrete around my pool skimmer so I can get to the leak. Have I said how much I hate the pool???!

The game was awful---so was tonight's--not one Met passed first base! But the weather was better today---weeded for several hours---more grass in the per. beds than on the lawn.
