Links beneath the banner?

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Something new or am I just now seeing this?
But they go nowhere.....

I am wondering if my imagination has kicked in.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Oh Wow...now they take me somewhere.
Cool.

North Augusta, ON

um...whatcha been puttin' in your ice tea? ^_^

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Dunno, but it sure is good.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

I just noticed them a moment ago too. Thought I was on wrong page s or something.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Nice, I like them.
Guess maybe Dave is trying something new-ish.

North Augusta, ON

I wanna see them too now!!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

You don't drink the right tea, 3g.

North Augusta, ON

hmmm...pass me some of that tea, please?

(tosses out coffee)

Where? where?

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

You be needin' some tea, DL??

Clearly.
I don't have a clue what you all are talking about.

North Augusta, ON

Maybe Dave's messing with our minds again (some of us anyways)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sharran, I must be drinking the same tea as I see them.

ok I want a step by step description of what this thing is

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

It's a secret, we can't tell you....
Unless you know the magic words.

Kidding, my dear. It is just probably something that Dave is trying that would be helpful links to sponsors. Quick links. Nothing major, just sponsor links at our fingertips.

A nice thing if you are looking for particular items or specific help. I would guess he is just trying it to see what works, or if it works, before adding it to DG.

(grumble)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Will be interesting to see if it works out for everyone. I checked garden decor but not much further.

North Augusta, ON

Garden decor???!

**tease**

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap that what it says.

North Augusta, ON

Well, maybe a good thing I can't see it...easier on the pocket book.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Nope it is just a listing of other websites and I haven't been able to get them opened. Now that is definitely easy on the pocketbook. Besides my garden decor is organized hodge podge.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I have tried opening several, and all I have checked have opened.
Nice feature, I think.
Sorry DL...I'd share if I could.

North Augusta, ON

How 'bout a nice little screen shot? Just to satisfy our curiosity? Help me sleep tonight...

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

You have to have the forum sponsors links marked on your preferences under ads to see them.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Ahhhhhh, ya know, I tried that a few minutes ago and somehow it didn't work. I would if I could, Lee Ann...I really would.

maybe tomorrow......

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Ahhhhh, the voice of reason....and here I thought we had been dealt a magic hand.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

I'm not liking what I'm seeing at all. It's not a link, but a very unwelcome pop up all over the mast! I can't access my mail, watch threads or anything else without ads popping up when I move my mouse to the top. Sometimes eight or more times. Does this have to do with your operating system as to whether you see this or not?

Wait a minute. Are you getting something other than I am? My tea is different than what you are describing.
Laurel

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Dunno Laurel...do what Mystic said and see if that changes things.

Franklin, TN(Zone 7a)

You have to have the forum sponsors links marked on your preferences under ads to see them.

I have the forum sponsors disabled (unchecked) in my Ad Preferences and I'm seeing the sponsor links below the banner. I double checked to make sure and I do have it disabled, but I'm still seeing the forum sponsors link beneath the banner. It just started today.

Franklin, TN(Zone 7a)

This is what i'm seeing. The only Ad preference I have checked is the the Top Watchdog Ad and the other two are unchecked. I never noticed this sponsored link thing until today.

So is this disrupting your ability to move through the DG site? It's crippling me and I'm trying to be PC. I was away for awhile. When I came back, the ads for this one co. were/are covering my mast every time I move the mouse to the header. We're playing a stealth game of me trying to race the mouse before the pop up appears (lol). This is really not amusing actually.

It is just the words across, just beneath the banner for me. Not a problem, in fact I rather like the convenience of it.

Laurel, turn off your ad preference and see what happens. Are you seeing the banner like Puppy Kisses? Sounds as if you are seeing more.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

I'm getting "Off" ads on top with crawling bugs down a right side bar. Really disconcerting. Every time I try to access a thread, my mail or a forum, the ad pops up in milliseconds before I press the mouse and I get that ad. Really, this is not acceptable.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I'm not seeing the ad links below the banner. Hmmm...that's strange.

I'm told that the end of July is the end of mosquito season on DG and the 'Off' ad will go away then. :)

Edited because I turned my ads on and now I see the sponsor links. So if you don't want to see them, then go into My Info - Preferences - ads - make sure that all the checkboxes are un-checked.

Ummmmm.....did anyone open the marijuana link in organic gardening??? !!!

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Proverbial "target marketing"? What will replace it at the end of July...an ad for Daconil? Are you getting the "Off" ads, top and side, too? I can accept the conditions if the site is free, but to have the current access problems is, well, problematic. It's taken a bit of time to read the subsequent posts while trying to out maneuver that ad. Tricky little sucker there.

We're not talking about Woodstock, venu. This is food for thought and not for smoke.

Kannapolis, NC

I'm reserving judgment until later. This is definitely new on my screen!

I don't have any bugs running around. The links are not interfering in any way. I think you may have a glitch bug :(
