Fajita Bell Peppers or Mexi Bells? ...How big do they grow?

Los Lunas, NM

The description on the little stick that came with the plant says this bell gets 4" -4.5". Is that about the same size as a regular red, green, yellow bell pepper or is it measured in a different manner? This grew out green and a few days ago turned red. It is now about the size of a golf ball.

I have never had a Mexibell get as big as advertised, but it a nice size pepper. Good as a frying pepper with some heat. Have not grown Fajta Bell. More of a tomato shape than than a regular bell pepper.Mine ran baseball size.

Hi, thanks..Do you feed your plants? What kind of pesticide do you use if you use any?

I just stick them in well prepared soil, amended with a smidgin of 10-10-10, cultivate twice, mulch with last years leaves and ignore them until harvest. Don't have any insects that bother them. Do have to rotate trying to avoid soil borne diseases.
