I want the front of my house to be beautiful!

Cordova, TN

Please help! I'd love suggestions on what I can do to spruce up the front of the house. I'm thinking of transplanting the azalea bushes to the backyard, under a tree. (They are the small bushes under the window on the left side of the pic.) The house faces east but gets a bit of shade from the tree in the front yard. Everything in the bed is deprived of nutrients and/or diseased. I know I need to work the soil and fertilize it, but what should I put in once the hard part is done? I would really appreciate any tips!

Since it's a raised bed I would treat it like container planting and use the lighter soil with moisture control and slow release fertilizer. So much you can do, I usually like taller/narrow shrubs on the corners.Trellises with a climbing vine or rose(only with enough sun) would look good on both sides of the window on the left or something tall there. Red or burgandy with some yellow touches would look great. I know some will suggest pink, but I'm not a big fan of pink and tan.☺

that's what I was thinking, red or burgandy...what about some wine & roses wegelia? I have the dwarf form (I think they are midnight wine...I may be getting the names mixed up) and they're very pretty. I have chartreuse & purple plants mixed in with mine.

Thanks so much for your ideas! There are so many things I'd like to plant, but only so much space. When other people share their thoughts on what I should do, it helps me focus on where to start. Thanks again!
