Sunshinesw, I googled the Hoya archiboldina, you have another winner there. It says that this vine boasts huge umbels of one-inch cupped flowers.
Where are you getting all these great Hoyas?
Tropical Plants #43
Patty, how in the world do you have such a nice yard with only 2" of rain this year. You don't want to come see everything brown at my house. Love your hibsicus especially!
gail
PS Thanks everyone for the pics so I can dream about a yard again.
She is absolutely one of the prettiest blooms I have seen. I have to add her to my want list........
You have really gotten this hoya growing down to an art, Sunshine!
Good morning!!!

Hi Gail--let's just say it's a good thing I don't work in the summer cause I seem to be outside watering all the time. This heat is just horrendous lately. I've been getting up early in the morning to do my watering. We need to get together next week and do lunch.
Oh Rita I hope your allamanda bloom doesn't fall off. Just you wait before long it will be covered in blooms. My nong nooch vine is alive but not thriving. Here's a picture. Any suggestions on what I should do to get it to thrive? I love your stingray alocasia. I've looked at pictures online and thought it was a cool plant. Yours looks great.
Nice hoyas Sunshine.
Debra are these stargazer lilies or asiatic lilies:
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=6767542 So pretty and so pink! I just love any pink flower.
Hi, sneaking in from work, those are asiatic stargazer lillies.. 3rd year for these, they do spread .. do you want some? I have some extra in October I can send to you, dmail me if you want them.. Debra
the blooms get 6 to almost 7 inches in circumference and make great displays.. they last a very long time in a flower frog..
Speaking of pink, Patty, the Dombeya is so tall now, you can walk under it.! no blooms..too hot..I'm over it.
How cool. Mine is only about 5 feet tall I think but it's nice and full. Guess we'll have to wait until October/November or so for it to cool down some before they start there pretty pink blooms.
Patty and RJ,
Did you see Joe's wife saying she can grow StarGazer lilies where she lives.........a tear is forming from sheer jealousy.
You look like you live in paradise, Rita!!!
Rita... this one here.. I am asking you where I can find one.. I LOVE IT..

Hi kimarj--love your picture!
Happy Fourth of July to all!!!!!
Patty
Thanks Patty!
They smell really good : }
My very favorite cut flower in the world, kimarj!!
Debra, I'll try to start a Crepe Myrtle cutting for you some time. I am going to train CM into a tree form after it's done blooming.
I love Rangoon, mine is still blooming some but almost gone by.
My Rangoon Creeper looks like it is dying now (LOL), but I am just letting her root system get bigger until I decide to hold her up on a fence, etc.
I am going to trim mine to stay small if possible. I've seen some huge ones.
I have seen these rangoon creepers covering a whole building in Houston, so I know they must cut them waaay back each year. Mine is still in a pot and I need to get her into the ground. I understand they will not cling and so that means running wire, etc.
