Hello,
I'm growing a strawbale garden this year. I live in N.E. North Carolina. I was wondering is it too late to plant another round of peppers and tomatoes?
Thanks
Is it too late?
Don't know about peppers but it is just getting time to plant fall tomatos. I'm going to raise tomatoes in hay this winter in the green house I built. Promised my daughter in Ohio I'd have fresh tomatos for Christmas.
sapper78e - I'm in Charlotte, NC and our first frost can come as early as the middle of October. I allow three full months from sowing seeds for my first tomatoes to ripen. You're a good way North of us, so I doubt tomatoes would have enough time from seed to ripen fruit before frost in your area. If you can get your hands on some good-sized plants, they might do okay.
