This year both Spring and so far Summer have been uncommonly cool, wet and dark. Could this be why my Elodie lilies have done so poorly? The bottom leaves became wilted, the top leaves disppeared although the middle ones seemd mostly ok. the flowers opened looking ragged and the plants did not get very tall. My later blooming lilies were looking fine until the other day when I noticed the bottom leaves beginning to look scraggly.
OTOH, the Carpet lilies beneath the Northern Magnolia seem perfectly fine.
Thank you for any help any one can give me.
Poor, Poor Lilies?
I certainly think the non-normal weather will be having some affect on any plant you have.
