Fantastic shots Margaret, what a gorgeous bird!
Wonderful!!
Beautiful start Margaret...that is a gorgeous shot of the Honeyeater! Thanks for the new thread!
Duc...those shots of the Swallows are just precious!
I looked out the front door yesterday and thought I had a new flower blooming...sorry for the poor quality it was taken through the window and screen.
Duc....congrats on the baby Swallows....where's the cigar?
Gorgeous pics Margaret!! Thanks for starting the new thread!
Duc, The Swallow pics are great!
Rose, Love the Goldfinch and Bunting!
Adel, Your place is a regular nursery!
Nice Photo's all! Never seen a Honeyeater before, very colorful. Thanks Resin that's the first Red-bellied WP that's been in my yard, hope it stick's around.
Rose, that's a great unusual pose for your G.finch. You did a wonderful job on all of them. Think my favorite is that last one. Love that male picture and the Bunting is absolutely perfect!!
Adel, this is a "non-smoking zone with babies present"! Speaking of the nursery, have you got those cigars out for your babies? They're so ugly that they're cute!! I'm anxious to see them with more fuzz.
Thanks all!
I was in the yard today and heard the Northern Bob-white Quail calling and I thought "gee that is a close one"...I was looking around and there it was in the dead tree. I stealthy headed into the house for the camera and managed to get a few shots. Unfortunately the tripod was not handy and the lighting was all wrong but I was happy to see a Quail in the backyard dead tree!
Wow dellrose!!!! Awesome picture of the Indigo Bunting. I'm beside myself... you did an Awesome job!!!! Thanks for posting it.
Bobs are hard birds to get close to enough to photo. I heard two calling a few mornings ago. Last year I heard them almost every morning. Jumped a covey of 8 while we were walking earlier in the spring. But, development is pushing them out. In the 70's and 80's I used to quail hunt just a mile east of my house.
Here is a humorous pic of one taken at a nearby nature park. It was out in the walking trail when it saw us. Ran under this little piece of foliage and seemed to think it was hidden.
Beautiful Bob-white Rose!
LOL Red!
Great pic of that handsome one Gary!
That bird really is cammouflaged pretty well, Red!
Fabulous pictures everyone. Won't be long before that nest is standing room only, Adel. Love the swallows duc, and the honey eater, Margaret.
Sorry I cut you off Adel. Looks like the peaches are a hit. Hope you were able to replenish it, and make the lady happy.
Beautiful birds, dell.
Wonderful shots guys!
