I planted three sandworts this spring, they were full of blooms but have not bloomed since. They look very healthy but no new blooms. I see on them what I believe to be new buds but nothing has happened. We have had a very rainy and cool spring and summer. Am wondering if that is what is causing them to not bloom. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks :-)

I'll start by saying that I have never grown these so I have no idea if they just bloom for a short time and then are done for the year, or whether they typically bloom over a longer period. Assuming they're supposed to bloom for a longer time, since you're seeing buds that just aren't opening yet it could be the cool rainy weather, but it also could be that they're working on getting their roots established first. Plants have a hard time doing more than one thing at a time--typically after you plant something, it'll focus most of its energy on getting its roots going first, then when it's done with that it'll use its energy for new top growth and blooming.
