I read somewhere that there are some nurseries that use human hair around there plants. Anybody on this forum tried this.
Something I read.
I haven't tried myself, but have a friend who used to do that. I've lost touch with her, so can't verify if it made a difference. She said it was almost pure nitrogen, and good for the plants.
Hair can go in a compost pile and is degradable, so it's probably fine to add directly to a garden. Pet hair, human hair, rabbit, whatever fur/hair should be fine.

Thankyou.
Human hair can also be used to deter deer. The lady who cuts my hair keeps a fresh pile around all her rose bushes and it does seem to keep them from eating them.
Thankyou.
