Just bought two of these beautiful plants not realizing they like full sun until later. Just how little sun do they need to survive indoors? May have to give them away.

Can you keep them outdoors during the warmer months and just bring them in for the winter? That would probably keep them happy.

They can survuve in partial shade aswell, so as long as you have light coming in through a window it shouldnt matter too much, Maybe place it in a west facing window. Where are the placed now?

I have a very small enclosed porch area off the bedroom that seems to get morning sun. I hate putting them out there cause anyone can walk off with them and a cat is urinating on my sliding glass door from time to time. I see a discoloration on one of the plants that may be urine. Only place that gets sun at all as the front gets no direct sun at all.

It seems that the light where they are now is sufficient enough for them, i understand that your worried leaving them there as people can take them, so why not put them out there when you can keep an eye on them and put them some place that has the most light when you cant keep an eye on them. If they dont do well there then its obvious they need more light, but everything is worth a go :)

Plants have about 3 to 4 hours of direct light if I reposition through the morning hours. Later after the direct light is over I bring them in and place them on a table by the front window to prevent theft. It's a bit of a pain. Hopefully this will be enough and the winter wont harm them.
