Found this Green Heron with a mate at the local park.
Daily Pics - Vol. #225
Duc, Love the Eagle/Crow pics! Beautiful Green Heron.
Nice Blue Jay shot nanny. You'll get that Indigo.
Duc, that looks just like what I see here at my office. The Hawks hang out on top of tall buildings, well duh! But I thought hawks were more predatory than I see. And I was/am shocked to see other birds, including Mockers chase the hawks. How does that happen? I mean, those hawks are so big. It is amazing to see the others chase the hawks. Hawks just go after ground-based little ones?
Linda
Those Eagle shots are awesome! Those Crows are either really brave or really stupid.
Oops, Eagle, not hawk! Blame it on advancing age?
Linda
Lin, I love all birds, but the Cedar Waxwing, wow!
I saw a Townhee today, there was a chick on the ground. Apparently it felt off the nest from where I thought there was a Cardinal Nest. Anyhow, the parent bird came running when the baby cries out. I wished I could have captured some pictures.
Great pictures, everyone. I wish the Towhees were still around here. I miss them. Only see waxwings in transet.
Cute Blue Jay nanny.
Duc, the photos of the Bald Eagles with crows in hot pursuit are fabulous. I really love the last one. Good job.
Linth, I love the Osprey (of course) and the Cedar Waxwing is absolutely beautiful.
Nanny I know the feeling when the light is not on your side which is what happened to me Saturday when the Eastern Kingbird landed on the sign just outside the drivers side door but rain and poor lighting pretty much killed my shots. Oh well I will go back and hope to get another chance.
Great shots everyone!!!
a couple of Mourning Doves :|
Something very strange gone wrong with the one on the left!
;-)
LOL!!!
Strange indeed! LOL. Wonderful pix everyone. I'm late to catch on....
Great pictures!!!
Burd, love that picture with the bunny and the dove. You have smaller bunnies than our big eared jackrabbits. Great picture of the Goldfinch on the tree too.
Adel, cute Tree Swallow pictures!! Love the babies shot.
Nanny, that's a handsome papa Bluebird. Don't worry about the lighting, at least you get to see him.
Lily, great WP picture. I guess I have to move my suet feeder. Seems like I get every bird except the wps.
The Crows chasing the Bald Eagles is a daily thing. These two were taken late yesterday.
